Stanley Park Seawall

The first thing one must do in Vancouver is rent a bike and cycle the 10-kilometre Stanley Park Seawall. I had been doing just that when I stopped to take this shot. The curvature of the paved path, looking as if it's heading into the sea sucked me in. I also love the soft peaks and smoky blue of the islands offshore. In the distance, a tanker awaits its turn to enter the Port of Vancouver, the busiest port on the North American west coast.
