A friend and I had just cycled around Stanley Park and were walking alone the Seawall toward False Creek for an afternoon of kayaking when I hopped down onto the beach to capture this scene. It was another quintessentially Vancouver day: 80 degrees and sunny, the Seawall bustling with bikers and runners. Up on Davie Street, the outdoor pubs seemed to be doing a brisk business, even at noontime.
