I had just been for a walk along newly discovered trails on Vinalhaven Island's north shore, where, with my friends David and David, we meandered our way to the tippy-tops of the island's hills and southward all the way to Perry's Creek before completing a loop back to the wharf.

We were on the dock starting up the Whaler to return to North Haven (seen here on the opposite shore) when David W. snapped this vanity shot of me. We had been making fun of my almost-Jackie O. glasses, but David and David assured me they aren't that big.
