Little Cottonwood Canyon

I was practically lost, driving around the canyons southwest of Salt Lake City when I happened upon this scene. I actually drove past it then slammed my SUV rental in reverse, hopped out, and snapped this photo.

This site, a former smelting operation, is now on the EPA's list of Superfund sites. Despite its toxicity and its decay, it's a beautiful spot.
