West 15th Street
January 6, 2007 | 2 p.m.
In one of the most bizarre weather patterns ever, it was clear blue skies over Manhattan on this January day, and 70 degrees according to the thermometer. After spending the morning running along the Hudson, I spent the day wandering around the city IN SHORTS and a t-shirt. Thank you, global warming.
Many times I have walked by this block of West 15th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, and noticed how the sun never reaches below the very top slice of the buildings; on this day I finally had my camera with me to document it.
