Main Street
North Haven, Maine
June 26, 2004 | 10:14 a.m.
I was running down Main Street to meet the arriving 10:30 a.m. ferry when I noticed that this old cottage in the village was looking a bit better than it normally does. It's been virtually abandoned my entire life, but the day I shot this photo the lawn had just been freshly mowed. The picket fence was perfect, and the crooked shutters seemed to be sitting straight. It's one of my favorite houses on North Haven, but unfortunately it's looking a bit tired from disuse.
