Parc St-Viateur, Outremont
September 4, 2005 | 11:22 a.m.
I watched Outremont -- the traditional home of Canada's francophone elite -- wake up on the morning I took this shot. I had been wandering around the neighbourhood hopping from cafe to cafe sampling croissants at each one and was making my way down Bloomfield Avenue toward Bernard to pick up the papers.
On the way I stopped in at St. Viateur Park to admire this building, one of my favourites in Montreal. It reminds me a lot of the Georgia O'Keefe painting "White Canadian Barn."
