Miami Beach

I was attending a cocktail reception for sponsors of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association's national convention on the 16th-ish floor of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel when I took this photo. This shot is looking east from Collins Ave., across Miami Beach and Biscayne Bay to the towers of downtown Miami. It was a fairly overcast day, but typical of Miami, it was at least a thousand degrees. I was sipping wine with friends from New York as well as beloved college professor, having the time of my life!

It doesn't take more than a passing glance to notice all the orange rooftops standing out in Miami Beach.
