When I travel, I always take a lot of photographs. I do it mostly because my favorite places, while not off the beaten path, are ones that few of my friends dare to venture. They sometime think them to be provincial places, like Rochester, N.Y., or cities that are too cold and remote, like Vancouver. I take photos to show off the world as I see it and as I'd like others to see it.

After every journey I return with dozens and dozens of snapshots, and on this site I highlight a few of my favorites. They're not all the most well-composed or crispest (they were all taken on a cheap point-and-shoot digital camera), but a lot of them have interesting stories behind them.
